WRITING A NOVEL: TIPS AND PITFALLS TO AVOID

Here is an idea that has been in your head for a while and this time, this is it, you are ready, you are going to write it, this novel that you have been thinking about for so long.
But before launching your head down in writing while thinking about your future success, Here are some fairly simple tips that could, however, save you some disillusions.
How to write a novel?
o   KEEP YOUR FEET ON THE GROUND
If you start writing a novel for any reason other than the pleasure of writing, it is better not to start. Do not imagine becoming overnight a successful writer, living on his pen. Indeed, today, only 2% of authors make a living from their books.
o   ASK YOURSELF WHAT ARE YOUR MOTIVATIONS
In order to get the ideas clear, ask yourself what objectives you pursue with the writing of this novel:
·       Do you want to be published in a traditional publishing house?
·       Do you write only for yourself?
·       Do you write to your loved ones?
Each of these motivations plays a major role in searching for the right publisher. So, if you have no clue how to find a publisher in India, then we suggest you check out the reviews of the leading publishers of that particular area only. On reviewing their services, make your final selection.
IF YOUR GOAL IS TO BE EDITED...
o   ASK FOR REVIEWS
Get proofread by non-complacent, different readers, it's the best way to test your plot, your writing, and get the first tracks for improvement allowing you to rework your text.
o   DO NOT TRY TO PLEASE
Don't write to appeal to readers, but treat yourself; it's the most effective way to reach an audience. Over-play is quickly spotted in theater, cinema, as in writing.
o   WORK AND ... REWORK
It is rare to write "good" in the first draft. Proofread, ask yourself questions, and question your work. And of course, take care of the form and be sure to submit a manuscript devoid of spelling errors.
Good luck and above all take maximum pleasure in this great adventure!
