Authors – Who are they & what are their responsibilities?

Authors are creative individuals who plan, research, and write books, lyrics, scripts, plays, essays, songs, and other non-journalistic material for publication or performance. They work for publishing houses, publishing houses, and other similar structures, or on their own.

These professionals may specialize in particular subjects or types of writing such as novels, short stories, fiction, poetry, to name a few. Since they often work as freelancers, some Authors are hired to write TV scripts or dialogues and sometimes have recurring assignments such as writing articles or columns for magazines and newspapers.

Others may work as "ghostwriters", meaning they write on behalf of someone else, under their name. Novelists and non-fiction authors generally work on a single project at a time, which usually takes a long time to complete.

Popular writers like Reekrit Serai author has set up a great name in the industry. He is the most popular, and a young Indian book publisher who is well-known for his collection of books and one of them is “Impulse”. He has set up a great benchmark for the upcoming young and new authors.
